TBTFWD is one of the most advanced non-destructive structure testing equipment for road surface strength, as it’s a hot topic in the field of pavement test to measure dynamic deflection of road surface and calculate the rebound modulus of road surface. TBTFWD is used to apply a known amount of stress to the pavement and then record the deflections produced due to the impact. Ambient temperature and pavement surface temperature are automatically measured by the equipment while asphalt temperature is measured manually. With required interval of points, the geophones are placed on the geophone beam, to get the deflection value when force loaded, and on the data acquisition software you can find these values and see the deflection basin.
